How to Root Droid Razr I XT 890 using AIO Moto Tool

Motorola launched Droid Razr i XT890 in September 2012 and it attracted lots of customers who were looking for some Google and Motorola partnered phone. Droid Razr i featured 2Ghz Intel Atom processor with powerVGR GPU. Recently Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update was released for it and most of the users who updated got unrooted. We are here to  tell about the All in one Moto tool launched by XDA forum member. The new MOTO AIO tool can root, flash recovery, unroot, unlock bootloader of Razr I. Here is a small tutorial that will guide you through the process.

How to oneclick root Droid Razr I and install CWM recovery

Warning: You are proceeding with rooting your device, the warranty will get void. Don’t blame us if your device gets bricked or damaged.

Pre-Requisites:

Step 1: This article should only be tried on Motorola Droid Razr I.

Step 2: You should charge your device so as to have at least 70% charge with it. This will reduce the chances of Power interruption during the process.

Step 3: You should backup all valuable data’s on your phone, so that there is no data loss during the process.

Step 4: You should disable all Security programs like Antivirus and Firewall from your computer and uninstall the same from your phone, as these security programs generally tend to interrupt the process.

Step 5: Enable USB Debugging in your Asus Transformer Pad TF300T from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The option of USB Debugging should be ticked.

Download AIO Moto Tool from here to your computer. Extract the downloaded file into a folder onto your desktop.

Steps to Root Droid Razr I using AIO Moto Tool:

Step 1: Connect your phone to the PC using original USB cable i.e. the cable that came with it.

Step 2: Now, from the folder where you’ve extracted the downloaded file double-click on the “.exe” file to run it.

Step 3: The installation process will install an “ADBD Hack” look for a new app on your phone.

Step 4: Open the app, select both the boxes you see.

Step 5: Now, unplug your phone from the PC and then plug it back.

Step 6: Finally, select an option from the app, like you want to root your phone so choose the root option.
